Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea offer Man United “two bids” for Jadon Sancho – Man United News And Transfer News

Chelsea have presented “two bids” to Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho with “different terms” as the London club seeks to strike a deal in the final hours of the transfer window, Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The summer window draws to a close tonight at 11pm. Any prospective transfers must be agreed, with paperwork signed and submitted, prior to this deadline for the deals to be ratified by the Premier League.

Over the past few days, officials from Old Trafford have been locked in negotiations with their counterparts at Stamford Bridge as the two clubs thrash out a move for Sancho.

The 24-year-old winger has communicated to United that he is “keen” to join Chelsea with Romano revealing the London club have “reached total agreement with Jadon Sancho on personal terms.”

Tweet: “EXCL: Chelsea have presented two bids for Jadon Sancho! One proposal is loan with buy option clause, the other one with obligation to buy. Of course on different terms. Chelsea also reached total agreement with Jadon Sancho on personal terms! Up to Man United now.”

United’s preference is for a permanent transfer should Sancho depart the club after three disappointing years in Manchester.

A figure of £40 million was set for Sancho’s sale at the beginning of the summer window but there has been zero offers from prospective suitors at this price tag.

The Red Devils are also open to a loan with an obligation to buy clause but, until Chelsea entered the race for the 24-year-old this week, this type of offer had not materialised.

In fact, as Romano contends, United’s Premier League rival have presented Old Trafford officials with “two bids” for Sancho. “One proposal is loan with buy option clause, the other one with obligation to buy,” the transfer guru reveals.

There are “different terms” involved in each deal which is logical given the increased risk associated with a loan with an obligation clause in comparison to a straightforward loan with an option to buy.

Romano concludes it is “Up to Man United now” as tonight’s 11pm deadline draws closer and closer.

Throughout the summer, United have maintained they will keep Sancho at Old Trafford if a suitable offer does not arrive for his services. Now, in the final hours of a frantic window for the club, two such proposals have arrived from one team.

Whether United’s executives considers either offer a suitable one remains to be seen. They won’t have long to decide, however. Tick tock.
