Man United “keeping an eye” on Juventus left-back Juan Cabal as they contemplate making a bid “in the coming months” – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United are reportedly keeping close tabs on Juventus left-back Juan Cabal and could make an offer for him in the coming months.

The left-back position is an area of the pitch in which United have struggled, amidst injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Both stars are currently injured, meaning Erik ten Hag has no senior natural left-back that is fit and available to him for selection.

So far this term, Ten Hag has deployed Diogo Dalot at left-back but the Portugal international hardly excels in the role as he is a right-sided full-back by trade.

Shaw’s fitness issues have been well-documented while Malacia missed the entire 2023/24 campaign with an issue that required him to be subjected to two surgeries. While Shaw is expected to make a return to action after the ongoing international break, there is no definitive time frame for Malacia’s comeback.

United have recently seen themselves linked to Fulham star Antonee Robinson and Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez and according to Tutto Juve, Cabal is another left-back the Reds are monitoring.

Interestingly, Cabal joined the Old Lady from Serie A rivals Hallas Verona just six weeks ago and he’s already being mentioned to be the subject of overtures from United.

He cost Thiago Motta’s side £10m (€12m) and he has wasted no time in demonstrating his quality at Juve.

The Colombian has made three appearances for the Italian giants, all of which have come as starts.

Tutto Juve reveal, “Juan Cabal, a young Colombian full-back, has started well at Juventus. The 23-year-old has already attracted the attention of Manchester United, who are closely following his development in Serie A.”

“With a transfer fee of around €12 million, Cabal has proven to be a wise investment. Cabal has shown a solid defensive performance, combined with an attacking projection that has impressed teammates and fans.”

“Manchester United, aware of the full-back’s qualities and the need to strengthen their defensive line, have started to keep an eye on him.”

“The Old Trafford club’s scouts are closely following his development and could evaluate an offer in the coming months. Juventus will ask for at least 30 million euros.”

Cabal put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Juventus.
