Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s visit causes Man United staff to “scramble” in bid to “avoid another angry email” from him – Man United News And Transfer News

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s visit to Old Trafford on Monday reportedly led to Manchester United staff hastily moving to ensure everything was in top shape to avoid another dressing down from the INEOS billionaire.

Back in May, it emerged that Ratcliffe had emailed all United staff to complain about untidiness at the club.

The British businessman apparently issued a stern message, in which he made it clear that he was struck by the level of disorganization at United.

In particular, Ratcliffe branded the IT department branded the IT department “a disgrace” while explaining that the U18 and U21 dressing rooms were not much better.

He also insisted that the standards at Old Trafford “would not come close” to what was expected at INEOS.

According to The Daily Mail, United staff found themselves under pressure to make sure everything was in order for Ratcliffe’s visit on Monday.

“Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s visit to Old Trafford and Carrington on Monday had staff scrambling to ensure everything was ship-shape and avoid another angry email from the minority owner.”

“Staff were informed of Ratcliffe’s latest visit in a newsletter and took it to be a veiled reminder to clear up before his arrival.”

“After Ratcliffe returned to Ineos’ Knightsbridge headquarters to chair Tuesday’s board meeting, Confidential understands that no further emails have reached the in-box of his United employees.”

Sky Sports revealed that Tuesday’s executive summit in Central London ended shortly before 5pm.

The committee meeting had long been scheduled for Tuesday, although it was claimed that the future of under-fire manager Erik ten Hag would be one of the main items of discussion.

In addition to Ratcliffe, the other attendees included co-owner Joel Glazer, chief executive Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth, technical director Jason Wilcox, board member Jean-Claude Blanc, chief operating officer Collette Roche, and chief financial officer Roger Bell.
