Crystal Palace ready to “step their interest up in the coming weeks” in bid to beat Man United to Bazoumana Toure – Man United News And Transfer News

Crystal Palace are reportedly set to step up their pursuit of Hammarby teenager Bazoumana Toure, in an effort to beat the likes of Manchester United to his signature.

Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed a partial 27.7% investment into United, there has been a greater emphasis on signing younger players who can then be nurtured to potentially become world-class superstars.

Over the past few weeks, United officially confirmed the arrivals of 16-year-old Chido Obi-Martin, 17-year-old Samuel Lusale and 17-year-old James Overy. The Red Devils also brought in 18-year-old Leny Yoro from Lille and Sekou Kone, also 18, during the summer transfer window.

A previous report covered by The Peoples Person indicated that United sent scouts to watch Toure in action.

Erik ten Hag’s were not the only Premier League side mentioned to have sent representatives, with the likes of Arsenal, Wolves and Brighton and Hove Albion also thought to have done the same.

However, according to GIVEMESPORT, it’s Crystal Palace who pose the greatest danger to United’s hopes of landing Toure.

The news outlet reveals that Palace want the winger and are even prepared to sanction a deal in January 2025.

“Crystal Palace could edge ahead of Manchester United and Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the race to sign Hammarby youngster Bazoumana Toure, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed – with the Eagles prepared to step their interest up in the coming weeks ahead of a 2025 move for the 18-year-old winger.”

“The Hammarby star currently has a valuation of £8million set by his club, who are enjoying his burst of form after signing him from Ivorian outfit ASEC Mimosas in March.”

“United have also been linked, alongside Celtic, who have been one of the clubs to scout him in recent months – which GIVEMESPORT revealed earlier in the season. But Palace’s interest is understood to be high, and they may look to advance a deal to an ‘active’ level at the turn of the year once the transfer window opens.”

It’s understood that Palace bosses are aware that Toure is only 18, but consider him to be very talented and has extremely high potential.

The winger has registered seven goals and three assists in the 19 games for Hammarby.
