“It’s perfect”: Ruben Amorim responds to Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo’s row after win vs. Viktoria Plzen – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has described Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo’s full-time row after the Europa League victory over Viktoria Plzen as “perfect.”

United came from a goal down to beat Plzen 2-1 at Doosan Arena. Hojlund came on from the bench to score both goals and in the process, secured a first European away victory in 20 months for the Red Devils.

After the final whistle, the cameras captured Amad and Hojlund arguing with each other over two separate counter-attacks in added time, where both stars failed to pass to each other.

During his presser, Amorim was asked about the incident and gave the perfect response.

The United head coach said, “For me it’s perfect, we need to feel something. In this moment, we need to feel something, if we need to fight each other it’s like a family, for me it’s a very, very good sign. We need to feel something and that is important.”

“That is clear (that they care). When you don’t care, you don’t do nothing. When you care, you fight with your brother, with your father, with your mother.”

“It’s a normal thing, it’s a positive thing, a healthy thing. So I let the players and the captain to calm down the things. If I think it’s too much I will go inside the dressing room.”

“But it’s their space, they have to talk, to fight and for me it’s a very important thing.”

Amorim added, “I am happy that we win the game and still fight each other, that is a very good thing. When you win and you fight with your teammate because you want to score one more, for me it’s a very good day for us.”

On his side’s performance, Amorim told reporters, “The way we give a goal to the opponent was important not to give up.”

“So that’s a great message. Was not a great game but we manage to do these good things that are good when you are building a team and I think we deserved the win.”

United are back in action on Sunday when they take on Manchester City at the Etihad.
