Marcus Rashford could face more disciplinary action at Man United – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is likely to face more disciplinary action from the club.

The United attacker was left out of the squad last weekend when Ruben Amorim judged his training levels to be below par.

Since then, he has given an interview where he has stated that he feels he is ready for a new challenge, throwing massive doubt on his future at the club.

Amorim has stated in his pre-match press conference that United are a better team with Rashford in it and has hinted that he wants the Englishman to stay.

However, reports also state that United accept that now could well be the best time to cash in on their controversial winger.

It has been reported that the Englishman has once again been left out of the travelling squad to London before tonight’s Carabao Cup match versus Tottenham Hotspur and things could go from bad to worse for the academy product.

Football Insider report that former United scout, Mick Brown, believes that more disciplinary action could be just around the corner for Rashford.

“This has happened on far too many occasions now. Questions have been raised [over] his commitment to the club and his performances as a result.”

Brown believes that Rashford’s status at the club as a local boy and fan favourite has protected him with other managers but that everybody’s patience has worn thin.

“You hear things in the news about him going out clubbing and trips to Ireland or America or wherever, and you have to ask whether it’s affecting his training.”

“Amorim is in the best position to deal with it, because he’s only just come to the club and he owes him no loyalties so if that stuff is true, it will be addressed.”

The former scout applauded Amorim’s decision to leave him out of the derby and claimed he must “stick to his guns because it’s a brave call to make.”

Brown asserted that the ball is now “in Rashford’s court” and he will be the one to determine how it plays out.
