Amad Diallo gives decent account of himself despite Man United’s humiliating 3-0 loss to Bournemouth – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United suffered a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Dean Huijsen broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, as he rose high to head in a free-kick delivery. Justin Kluivert went on to double the visitors’ advantage from the penalty spot, moments after the break. Kluivert won the penalty after he was brought down inside the box by Noussair Mazraoui.

Two minutes after they went two goals up, Bournemouth added a third through Antoine Semenyo, who got on the end of a cutback from Dango Ouattara and beat Andre Onana from close range.

It was a disappointing occasion for United, who remain in 13th place in the Premier League standings with 22 points gained from a possible 51.

For the first time in Premier League history, United are set to be in the bottom half of the table on Christmas Day.

Amad Diallo is one of the few United players who can truly hold their heads high. The Ivorian has been in exceptional form, and against Bournemouth, it seemed like every positive moment for United stemmed from his influence.

During the time he was on the pitch, Amad registered three shots.

He created an impressive four chances and successfully connected with four of the crosses he made. He touched the ball five times inside Bournemouth’s penalty area.

The forward made eight ball recoveries.

He won 100% of the tackles he put in and registered an individual pass accuracy of 88%.

The 22-year-old  continues to prove himself under Ruben Amorim and even though United were on the losing side today, there are still one or two positives to take from his performance.

The Red Devils are back in action on Boxing Day when they travel to Molineux Stadium to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
