Manchester City made hard work of reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals as they came from behind to beat Championship strugglers Plymouth Argyle.

For the second round in a row City fell behind to lower league opposition after League One side Leyton Orient went 1-0 in round four. On that occasion Pep Guardiola’s side rallied to win 2-1 and they scored three against Argyle with Nico O’Reilly scoring two headers before Kevin De Bruyne netted a late third to earn a spot in the last eight.

City are targeting the cup this season given they are out of the Champions League and Carabao Cup and trail Premier League champions-elect Liverpool by a distance. Here, the Manchester Evening News has all the details on this weekend’s quarter-final draw.

The FA Cup quarter-final draw will take place on Sunday, March 2, after Manchester United’s fifth-round tie against Fulham.

The draw will be conducted by Danny Murphy and Dennis Irwin.
