Two players have emerged as potential targets for Manchester United heading into the summer transfer window.
United have three months to wait before they are able to strengthen their squad. The Reds signed Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven in January and will be in the market for further new additions at the end of the season.
Ruben Amorim has been busy assessing his squad during his first four months as the club’s head coach. Now, a fresh report has emerged claiming that two players are of interest to United as the summer transfer window approaches.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens has emerged as a target for United. The report claims that United will battle with Manchester City, Newcastle, Wolves and West Ham for Lammens’s signature in the summer, as they face a decision in the goalkeeping department.
It has been claimed that Andre Onana is a target for clubs in the Saudi Pro League, which could force United to go into the market for a new shot-stopper. The report states that Antwerp value the 22-year-old at around £30million going into the summer.
It’s not just between the posts that United are being linked with new signings, but also in the final third. The same report claims that the Reds are showing an interest in Sporting Lisbon winger Francisco Trincao.
The former Wolves and Barcelona star is also thought to be valued at £30million by Sporting. Amorim signed Trincao for the Portuguese club from Barcelona in 2023 following a loan spell, and the report states that he could turn to his former club for the first time for a new signing since moving to Old Trafford.
Trincao plays predominantly on the right wing for Sporting, but is also capable of being utilised in multiple roles across the forward third. The Portugal international has nine goals and 15 assists to his name this season and has been tipped for a big-money move in the summer.
