Napoli ready to pay whatever it takes to land Alejandro Garnacho in the summer – Man United News And Transfer News

A huge summer awaits Manchester United and as Sunday’s defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers showed, Ruben Amorim needs a revamp of pretty much the whole squad.

Attack seems the most in need of urgent reinforcements with Rasmus Hojlund looking absolutely bereft of confidence while his fellow attackers have fared little better.

Alejandro Garnacho was impressive against Olympique Lyonnais and Wolves but his future remains uncertain with multiple suitors chasing his signature since January.

And Napoli are expected to return for him in the summer and as per Calciomercato, this time Antonio Conte will not take no for an answer.

Napoli will return for Garnacho

Last time out, the Serie A giants had seen their official £42 million bid get rejected with the Red Devils holding out for £70m valuation. This time, Napoli are ready to pay whatever it costs to land the Argentine.

This tallies with what The Peoples Person had written about Garnacho earlier, relaying that the Italian side were planning a record offer in the summer.

Amorim had to fight with INEOS to keep a hold of the Carrington graduate in January and judging from his form, the head coach might not be in his corner once the window reopens.

“Neres’ injuries and Okafor flopping have made the gap even more evident with the departure of Kvaratskhelia. Manna is already working on several names, from Paixao and Zhegrova to Orsolini.

Napoli will not take no for an answer

“But for Conte, the number one objective must be the Argentine talent from Manchester United Garnacho. Now the time is ripe and the Azzurri leader expects to have him available for next season, whatever the cost.”

INEOS no longer consider the 20-year-old as untouchable and are ready to sell if they receive a suitable offer. Given his homegrown status, his sale represents pure profit.

Winning the Europa League might change United’s desperate need to sell but the winger really needs to up his game between now and the end of the season to plant that seed of doubt in the co-owners’ mind.

Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen are also among his suitors and INEOS will likely prefer not to strengthen a direct rival.

Garnacho has 10 goals and nine assists this season and his contract with the Red Devils is valid until 2028. Fans would be devastated if the club were to sell him but the ball seems to be in INEOS’ court at the moment.
