Ruben Amorim has picked a strong Manchester United team for the match against Bournemouth on Sunday with starts for Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Tyler Fredricson impressed on his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week with coaches raving about his footballing IQ. But he misses out.

Harry Amass is another Carrington graduate who had impressed but misses out.

With Diogo Dalot potentially ruled out for the rest of the season, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu starts again.

The ever-reliable Noussair Mazraoui and Leny Yoro also start the game.

Andre Onana remains in goal.

In midfield, Casemiro returns to start in the defensive midfield position alongside Kobbie Mainoo.

Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes start on either side of the striker, Rasmus Hojlund.

Still not getting a start is Mason Mount.

The full list of substitutes are: Heaton, Amass, Evans, Fredricson, Lindelof, Eriksen, Mount, Ugarte, Obi.

Given the season-defining clash against Athletic Bilbao coming up, the head coach was thought to be picking a weakened side keeping the midweek game.

But he has instead chosen to go strong as he had hinted at the pre-match press conference. Hopefully, a win and no more injuries on the cards.

The Cherries have become something of a bogey team, picking up as many points in the last three games (7), than they had in their previous 12 contests against the Red Devils.

Should Bournemouth win on the south coast, they would become the sixth team this season to do the league double over United.
