Eberechi Eze emerges as summer target for Manchester United alongside Bryan Mbeumo – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze alongside Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.

United are bracing for a very busy summer transfer window after an extremely underwhelming 2024/25 season that saw them finish in 15th place in the Premier League, having suffered 18 defeats and amassed just 42 points.

The Red Devils also missed out on the opportunity to win a trophy following their 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in last week’s Europa League final.

It’s clear that Ruben Amorim needs reinforcements if he is to succeed in making United a truly competitive outfit once again. In particular, the attacking department is an area of the pitch that United need to urgently address.

In addition to a striker, Amorim is believed to be keen on signing an attacking midfielder. In fact, there have been suggestions that the Portuguese coach wants more than one in this position. Matheus Cunha is United’s top target and on Sunday, Fabrizio Romano revealed that an agreement has been reached for the Brazilian to seal a move to Old Trafford.

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United have opened talks to explore the possibility of landing Mbeumo, who has enjoyed a superb 2024/25 campaign, notching 20 goals.

Brentford value Mbeumo at £50m.

According to ESPN’s Rob Dawson, Eze is also of interest to United after another impressive season at Selhurst Park.

Eze scored the decisive goal in Crystal Palace’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final, securing the Eagles’ first major trophy in their history.

Winning the competition also guaranteed that Palace will play in the Europa League next term. Across all competitions in the just-concluded season, Eze scored 14 goals while providing an additional 11 assists.

Now 26, the England international is entering the prime of his career and looks poised to take the next big step forward.

TEAMtalk confirm that United are indeed eyeing Eze, but they may find it difficult to land him, especially without European football.

Eze has also been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, where a reunion with former Palace teammate and close friend Michael Olise is on the cards.
