Man United’s next five fixtures compared to Premier League rivals as Ruben Amorim eyes top four

Manchester United now have the opportunity to build some momentum ahead of the November international break after their win over Liverpool at Anfield

Manchester United will be looking to pick up from where they left off when they take on Brighton. After storming past Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday night, Ruben Amorim’s side will turn their attention to next weekend’s clash against the Seagulls.

United will host Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as they look to climb the Premier League table. After defeating the reigning champions, the Reds are now in ninth place, and they’re just two points off the top four.

With the wind in their sails, they’ll be looking to build on back-to-back wins. So, with that being said, the Manchester Evening News has looked at United’s upcoming fixtures and how they compare to their rivals.

United have a week or so to recharge their batteries before they lock horns with Brighton at Old Trafford. Amorim will be keen to build on the momentum and extend the Reds’ winning streak.

Nottingham Forest (A) – Premier League – Saturday, November 1

United will be keeping tabs on Evangelos Marinakis’ search for a new head coach after the Forest owner decided to sack Ange Postecoglou. Amorim will be looking to pile on the misery at the City Ground, but it’s likely the East Midlands outfit will appoint a far more conservative boss this time.

Tottenham Hotspur (A) – Premier League – Saturday,

The Lilywhites have won just three of their last 18 home games in the Premier League, drawing four and losing 11. Since the start of last season, Tottenham have dropped more points from winning positions at home in the English top-flight (19) than any other side, so United will certainly fancy their chances.

Everton (H) – Premier League – Monday, November 24

The first game after an international break is always a bit of a banana skin. That said, Everton haven’t defeated United at Old Trafford since December 2013, when they won 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Bryan Oviedo.

Crystal Palace (A) – Premier League – Sunday, November 30

Ever since Oliver Glasner took charge, Crystal Palace have been superb. Fortunately for United, the south Londoners are juggling European football this season, and they’re set to play Strasbourg in the east of France a few days prior.
