Angry Ginge called ex-Man United star a ‘t***’ after charity event turned nasty

The popular streamer has already proved a hit with viewers on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! but clashed with another famous face live on ITV earlier this year

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Angry Ginge has only been in the jungle for a matter of days, but has already been a huge hit with viewers.

The popular streamer has soared to fame online in recent years and is now reaching a different audience on the 2025 edition of the popular ITV show. But while he has won a new legion of fans across the opening two episodes, the 24-year-old made an enemy live on the same channel earlier this year.

Manchester United fan Ginge – whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle – took part in this year’s Soccer Aid, with the annual charity football match seeing celebrities and footballers team up to raise money for UNICEF.

Playing in defence for England against the Rest of the World, he found himself up against one of United’s most controversial former players – ex-Argentina international Carlos Tevez.

While the match is usually filled with light-hearted moments, the pair’s head-to-head battle was much more fiery, Tevez, who controversially left United for Man City in 2009, battled Ginge for possession, with the social media star sending him crashing to the turf with a strong challenge.

Tevez seemed unhappy with the strength of Ginge’s challenge and appeared to kick out before the pair shook hands. Despite the civil conclusion to the incident, however, the streamer expressed his displeasure with Tevez’s reaction after the match, which England lost 5-4 – thanks to four goals from the Argentinian himself.

Taking to Instagram, Ginger shared a photograph of his leg bearing a bloody wound and wrote: “Cheers Tevez, t***.”

After receiving the man of the match award, Ginge added: “Well, we might not have won but man-of-the-match at Soccer Aid – mental. It’s a Sunday, but the postman still delivered baby.”

Days after the clash at Old Trafford, Ginge reignited his feud with Tevez by branding him a “f***ing traitor”. During one of his live streams, he proudly showed off his match-worn Soccer Aid shirt which had been autographed by every member of both squads, with the exception of the former United striker.

Having secured signatures from club legends including Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville and Michael Carrick, Tevez’s absence was something Ginge clearly relished.

Speaking about the shirt, he said: “Look at that. Signed by every single person on the team. And the away team. Bar one man. The f***ing traitor. Tevez ain’t signing my f***ing shirt. Not in a million years. No chance.”

Five months after his performance in Manchester, Ginge achieved full marks in his inaugural bushtucker trial in the I’m A Celeb jungle on Monday, alongside comedy legend Ruby Wax.

The duo participated in an eating challenge where they successfully ate camel toe, a pig’s testicle, crocodile’s anus, snails, a witchetty grub and cockroaches and mealworms.
