Man United stars Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo pull out of international duty

Manchester United attacking pair Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko will both remain at Carrington over the international break

Manchester United duo Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have withdrawn from their national teams for this month’s international break, but are not fitness concerns for United’s next Premier League game against Leeds United.

According to BBC Sport, the two forwards won’t travel to their respective nations and will remain at Carrington for the next two weeks. Both players featured in United’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth, with Sesko replacing Mbeumo in the 71st minute.

Sesko’s Slovenia are due to take on Hungary and Montenegro in the next 10 days, while Cameroon face Australia and China in friendlies. The pair’s withdrawal, though, isn’t set to keep them out of the Leeds game on April 13.

BBC Sport’s Simon Stone gas also claimed that Noussair Mazraoui, who missed Friday’s game, has joined up with his Morocco teammates. The African side, who were recently crowned AFCON champions, take on Ecuador and Paraguay.

Sesko and Mbeumo’s withdrawal means United have 11 players away on international duty this fortnight. Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire are back in the England frame under Thomas Tuchel and will be eager to impress in the double-header against Uruguay and Japan.
