Paris Saint-Germain have contacted Man United’s Marcus Rashford with January offer on the cards – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United got off to the perfect start on Ruben Amorim’s debut but in the end, they were lucky to escape with a point from Portman Road on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford handed the visitors the lead within 90 seconds but since then, it was all Ipswich as they ran United ragged at times.

If not for Andre Onana, the game would have ended in an Ipswich win and Amorim must thank his goalie for ensuring a point on his debut.

On first viewing, it seems like the players at the Portuguese’s disposal are not suited to his demands and a lot of time and effort will be required if the club is to play in the way Amorim wants.

Rashford struggled apart from the goal

Apart from the goal, Rashford was pretty poor and hardly made an impact with his positioning all wrong in quite a few moments while his pressing was non-existent at times.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee also struggled in the second-half and it is clear to see that the former Sporting Lisbon needs help up front.

As for the Mancunian’s future, it remains up in the air. While he would love to continue working with the new head coach, Teamtalk have now revealed that long-term admirers Paris Saint-Germain have once again got in touch with the player’s camp recently.

Luis Enrique is not too pleased with the attacking options at his disposal and wants Rashford to be brought in during the January window.

“Paris Saint-Germain have reignited their interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford ahead of the January transfer window, TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal.

“Sources close to the French giants say that manager Luis Enrique is not happy with his current attacking options and wants to bring in reinforcements. TEAMtalk understands that PSG have renewed their interest in Rashford as they search for potential attacking additions.

PSG in touch with Rashford’s camp

“Enrique is a big admirer of the England international and believes he can get him playing at his best again. PSG spoke to Rashford last summer about a potential transfer and we can reveal they have made contact with his entourage again recently.”

So far, INEOS have no plans of letting the England international leave and with his contract valid until 2028, it would take a huge offer to take Rashford out of Manchester.

Amorim wants to keep trying the 27-year-old in the No 9 role and hopefully, with some time, he can get used to what the coach wants. For starters, more application and desire.

While a mid-season exit remains highly unlikely, next summer is a different question altogether and unless Rashford and plenty of his teammates improve significantly, quite a few exits could be on the cards.
