Video: Ruben Amorim gives his verdict on first win as Man United boss in thrilling 3-2 triumph over Bodo/Glimt – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has had his say on his first victory at the club since being appointed from Sporting Lisbon earlier this month.

United beat Bodo/Glimt 3-2 to secure their second Europa League win of the season courtesy of an Alejandro Garnacho goal and a Rasmus Hojlund brace.

The result has left the Red Devils in 12th position in the Europa League table, sandwiched between Ferencvaros and Viktoria Plzen in 11th and 13th respectively.

After the final whistle, Amorim spoke to TNT Sports and was asked whether every game currently feels like an experiment, considering he hasn’t had too much time to familiarise himself with what is at his disposal.

He said, “Yeah, I get anxious because I don’t know what will happen. Because we don’t control nothing at the moment, we are trying to see different things.”

“Of course we have an idea for each game but I don’t know the players and we haven’t worked together a lot.”

“So we go to the game, excited because we want to see different things but at the same time you’re a little bit anxiously nervous because you don’t know how the game will go.”

The 39-year-old coach also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to United fans, who he said have welcomed him warmly since his officially arrived at the club.

Amorim told TNT, “The first thing is that half of the stadium doesn’t know me, doesn’t really know me.”

“I came from Portugal and I did nothing for this club yet. So they way they make me feel at home, it’s so special.”

He added, “It’s not after something. It’s before something. This is something special and I will keep it until the end of my career.”

United’s next assignment will see them host Sean Dyche’s Everton on Sunday.
