Picture: Manchester United youngster Ruben Curley confirms he has signed a new deal – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United youngster Ruben Curley has confirmed that he has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club.

Curley took to Instagram on Monday, posting a picture of himself signing the contract.

He was congratulated by some of his academy teammates including James Overy, Harry Amass and Shea Lacey.

Curley has trained with the United first team multiple times this season and will be hoping that his new contract serves as a springboard for earning his senior debut.

Indeed, he was part of training sessions at Carrington on week one of Ruben Amorim’s tenure at Old Trafford.

The Manchester-born midfielder is now a regular in Travis Binnion’s Under-21s group.

So far this term, Curley has made six appearances across Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy, assisting on one occasion.

The 19-year-old’s development was slowed down by a devastating ACL injury that he sustained in 2023. The setback cost him more than a year on the sidelines.

He made his return to action in September, 374 days after he suffered the ACL injury.

Unlike many players who struggle to recover from ACL injuries, Curley has shown no such difficulties and appears to have hit the ground running.

Curley played a key role last campaign as the Under-18s cruised to an incredible treble under the stewardship of Adam Lawrence.

Meanwhile, Amorim and his players return to Europa League action on Thursday when they meet Czech First League outfit Viktoria Plzeň at Doosan Arena.

The Red Devils head into the game on the back of two Premier League defeats, making a win almost imperative.
