Man United’s plans for Angry Ginge after I’m A Celebrity victory despite Luke Littler drama

Manchester United are reportedly planning to invite I’m A Celebrity winner AngryGinge to Old Trafford following concerns over ticket allocation after Luke Littler was given away tickets at Wolves

Manchester United are poised to honour superfan Angry Ginge’s triumph in the jungle with a special celebration at an upcoming home fixture.

United are reportedly ‘prepared to roll out the red carpet’ for the reality television champion of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! by welcoming him to Old Trafford.

The social media sensation and content creator built his reputation, partly, through his support of United and coined his signature cry of ‘Yanited’ as his following expanded.

The Salford-born jungle champion, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, defeated Eastenders star Shona McGarty and presenter Tom Read Wilson in the I’m A Celeb finale.

According to Mail Online, United are eager to collaborate with Ginge, who returned to Manchester on Monday, by extending an invitation to an forthcoming home fixture.

They allegedly wish to provide him with the opportunity to be honoured for his reality television victory at the Theatre of Dreams. The 24-year-old hadn’t always anticipated progressing so far in the jungle and nearly withdrew shortly after his arrival.

He revealed: “I was debating on the very first day, and I’d only been in there for a couple of hours.

“It was late when I’d got in, and I was expecting a steak but it was one steak between four of us, and that was a shock. That was the eye opener. I think, forget the snakes around the head.

“And then it was just getting later and later, and our other camp mates hadn’t joined us yet, and I was just sat there thinking, ‘this is going to be tough. It’s going to be really tough.”

It comes after United faced criticism from match-going supporters following the appearance of darts star Luke Littler in the away section at Wolves.

The move has sparked debate at a time when the club is tightening restrictions on season-ticket holders sharing their tickets with others.

Demand for away tickets regularly exceeds supply by a ratio of four to one. United fans must also hold a season ticket for a minimum of four years before becoming eligible to apply for away matches. Littler fails to meet these requirements.

Kit supplier Adidas is understood to have provided complimentary tickets for Littler and his companions. The 18-yea- old world darts champion had taken to Instagram requesting ‘three tickets’ fewer than 24 hours before kick-off.
