Even though the summer transfer window is closed for Manchester United, there is still the potential for more deals to be completed.

A total of five new signings were made by United during the summer window, with Diego Leon’s arrival being agreed earlier in the year. United also went on to bring Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Senne Lammens to Old Trafford before the deadline.

United also saw some members of their squad leave the club during the summer window. Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford (loan), Antony, Jadon Sancho (loan), Christian Eriksen (free transfer) and Rasmus Hojlund (loan with buy obligation) were among the players to leave United before the transfer window closed.

United will have to wait until January to make any more signings, but it’s possible that some members of the squad could still leave in the next few days. This is due to transfer windows in other countries remaining open.

For instance, the transfer window in Turkey remains open for another week and does not close until September 12. This gives the potential for more players to leave United before they return to Premier League action after the international break.

Tyrell Malacia was heavily linked with a move away from United this summer and did inform the club of his desire to leave Old Trafford. There have also been plenty of rumours about Andre Onana’s future at United after the club decided to sign Lammens from Royal Antwerp.

It remains to be seen what United will have planned over the next week and if clubs from Turkey will express an interest in any of their players.
