Mathues Cunha has wasted no time getting to know his new Manchester United team-mates on international duty.

The 26-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Old Trafford after United agreed to pay the £62.5m release clause in the forward’s contract.

Cunha had been one of the Premier League‘s brightest performers last season as he scored 15 goals and provided six assists for Wolves across 33 Premier League outings.

The former Hertha Berlin and Atletico Madrid forward will link up with his new team-mates when the Reds return to pre-season training next month.

In the meantime, though, Cunha has linked up with the Brazilian national team ahead of their World Cup qualification matches against Ecuador and Paraguay later this month.

But that hasn’t stopped the forward from getting to know his new team-mates at United as he was pictured with Antony.

Antony was recalled to the Brazil squad for the first time since 2023 after an impressive half-season loan spell at La Liga outfit Real Betis.

And he shared he snap of him and his new United team-mate on Instagram, accompanied with a love heart, which Cunha shared to his story.

Speaking about the importance of United’s business in the transfer window last month, Ruben Amorim said: “There are some things that we can’t change in the summer with transfers.

“It’s the feeling in this club, the way we see this club, it’s that real feeling that we cannot lose a match.”

“It’s impossible for us to play at home and lose, this kind of feeling, we have to change that and not thinking about transfers. That is something more profound than just changing people.

“We need to address this and we are doing that also. People cannot see that, but we are changing a lot of things in Carrington, the way we work here and the behaviour you must have in this club… The way we connect the academy with our team.

“All these things that you cannot see, we are working on that. So we need to forget about the final and try be better in the game against Chelsea because we have a lot to improve.”
