“Speed, power, intelligence, good football IQ”: Summer signing’s key attributes highlighted, fans will be hoping to see this vs City

Manchester United spent big money in the summer to overhaul their attack, and Ruben Amorim will be expecting more from his forward line in the games to come.

Bryan Mbeumo has scored once in the Premier League, while Matheus Cunha is yet to open his account for the campaign.

Surprisingly, Benjamin Sesko has yet to start in the league, with Ruben Amorim preferring Mason Mount as a false nine instead.

In his only start, the United No.30 struggled against Grimsby Town, and the decision to send him out last for the penalty shootout did raise plenty of eyebrows at that time.

Sesko’s United career so far

INEOS have already got rid of Rasmus Hojlund, who was desperate to prove his critics wrong, and the Slovenian must start banging in the goals soon.

His national team strike partner Andraz Sporar was effusive in his praise for the former RB Leipzig hotshot, claiming United have a very special player on their hands, who is just getting started.

The 31-year-old praised the Slovenia international for his footballing IQ but begged for patience from fans as he will only become a complete striker in two years’ time.

His key attributes

“What does he bring to United Everything. He has speed, power, intelligence, good football IQ,” Sporar was quoted as saying by The Sun.

“I believe he can be a complete striker in the next two or three years.

“But he’s still young. He will help Manchester United a lot, they just need to be patient.

“I believe he’ll score the goals and every year he will be better and better.”

Whether Amorim can afford to wait for a couple of years for his striker to become a world-beater will be interesting to see.

Given the enormous pressure he is under, United need to start winning games and fast, and what better way to do that than against noisy neighbours Manchester City, with the derby up next.
